Scariest Ghost Pictures of all time

October 29th, 2006 by Ken

Happy Halloween! Pictures of ghosts have always intrigued me. 99.999% of them can easily be dismissed as total garbage, but there are some of them that look good enough, and have a story that is interesting enough, to seem plausible. Of course, as a good Catholic, I don’t believe in ghosts, but…. Here are some of the best photos of ghosts out there. If you’re ready for “The Spooky”, click more and enjoy.

woot! and Bags of Crap

October 23rd, 2006 by Ken

woot!woot! is a fun website thats motto is “One Day, One Deal” They sell a single product per day, and once it sells out, it’s gone. The great part is that they get incredible deals (if you need the product), and everything has $5 shipping. I’ve bought some great christmas presents from them, and also some cool gadgets for myself.

Some examples of my woots:

  • Wireless Bluetooth Headphones (2 pair) - $54.99 shipped
  • Simpletouch Hard Drive backup case - $19.99 shipped
  • InFocus 76-inch 16:9 Projector Screen - $34.99 shipped (Shipping alone prob cost $35

There are some other things I’ve bought, but since they are going to be Christmas presents I won’t list them here…

The coolest part about woot! is that to keep people interested, at random times they sell an item called the “Bag of Crap” on their site for $3 and $5 shipping. No one knows what they will receive when they purchase a BOC, but it almost always is worth a lot more than the $8 you pay for it. It is a highly sought after, and highly prized possession for people who frequent their site.

I recently got lucky enough to get a BOC, and here were it’s contents:

Full BOC
Contents:

  • One (1) Samsonite Camera Bag
  • One (1) Vector Ultra WET/DRY Sport Vac
  • Two (2) Security DR ThumbDrive Locks
  • One (1) Song Sen Mini Cinematograph (Super Funny Function 4 in 1)

Closeups:

The cinematograph was really the gem of the BOC. Here are some closeups:

Our Seattle Vacation

October 10th, 2006 by Ken

IMG_3180We packed up Emily, Matthew, 4 suitcases, 4 carry-ons, 2 carseats, and 2 stuffed animals, and schlepped it all to the airport. Matthew couldn’t believe the amount of airplanes that he saw, as he screamed “Dada, AIRPLANE!” at each new one he saw. After being delayed 2 hours, we “blasted off” (according to Emily) and flew 4.5 hours to Seattle. We were told that the kids were VERY well behaved on the flight, but we were still ready to pull our hair out. But we made it, and started our first out-of-state vacation in Washington State.

IMG_3279We then went to Jennifer and Clayton’s beautiful house in Northern Seattle, and visited with them. We went to Pike Place Market, the Seattle Aquarium, and basically all around downtown. We got live crab at the market and Clayton cooked it up for us, and it was DELICIOUS!

IMG_3323As they were still working, getting ready for their wedding, and I’m sure needed a break from having four new people in their house (two of which being under five years old) we took off and drove to Mt. Rainier. This was a great trip, and we stayed overnight on the mountain at the National Park Inn, which we highly recommend.

Once we got back, we did some other shopping around town, getting ready for the wedding. Then we took off and stayed near the castle.
IMG_3623The next day was the wedding, which was a blast! The castle was really nice, the ceremony was really nice, the slideshow Jennifer and Clayton put together was incredible, and the dancing afterward was awesome. We stayed with Jennifer’s parents, Larry and Kathryn, that night, at their beautiful place in the woods.

Overall, it was a great vacation, and all of us had a great time. Emily loved meeting all of Jennifer’s and Clayton’s family, and talks about them a lot. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality! It was so nice meeting all of you.

And last, but not least, here is a video of Emily dancing:
