woot! is a fun website thats motto is “One Day, One Deal” They sell a single product per day, and once it sells out, it’s gone. The great part is that they get incredible deals (if you need the product), and everything has $5 shipping. I’ve bought some great christmas presents from them, and also some cool gadgets for myself.

The coolest part about woot! is that to keep people interested, at random times they sell an item called the “Bag of Crap” on their site for $3 and $5 shipping. No one knows what they will receive when they purchase a BOC, but it almost always is worth a lot more than the $8 you pay for it. It is a highly sought after, and highly prized possession for people who frequent their site.

This is weird. Eddie calls me today and says ‘Go to google, type in “movies near 77477″, and look at the first item in the list.’

Weird, huh? Normally, the “near” keyword invokes the Google Local search. Try “Pizza near 77477″ or even “Movie near 77477″ and you get what seems relevant. I dont know why it points to my website, but thats cool.

(If it doesn’t pull up my webpage as the first item, then Google has changed or reindexed.)
